What it normally tells us

The certificate includes the employment period, gross employment income, wage tax withheld and various payroll/social-security amounts. It can also show tax class and other payroll indicators.

Why we ask for every certificate

If you changed employers or had a second job, each employer may issue a separate certificate. Reviewing all certificates helps establish the complete annual payroll picture.

Uploading is optional for the first contact

If you are not ready to share your certificate, you can send a message first. For a preliminary refund calculation, however, the certificate usually makes the review faster and more reliable.

Not ready to upload documents?

You can use the contact form without a Lohnsteuerbescheinigung and send your question first.
